Materials:

  • Yarn: “Nora” MADEIRA (80% viscose, 20% metallic polyester, 100 m/2.5 dag), approx. 60 dag in gold.
  • Crochet hooks: No. 2 and 2.5
  • Elastic: 0.75 mm wide, length according to waist measurement

Basic Pattern (Hook No. 2)

  • Work with single crochet.
  • Start each row with 1 turning chain, counted as the first single crochet.
  • Start each round with 1 chain stitch as the first single crochet and finish with 1 slip stitch in place of the starting chain.

Chain Motif (Hook No. 2.5)

  • See Model 21 (reference to motif diagram).

Connecting Lace (Hook No. 2)

  • Begin at the chain motif indicated in the layout plan.
  • Work according to Diagram A, repeating rows 1–4:

Row 1:

  • 6 turning chains,
  • 1 group of double crochets (3 dc + 2 ch + 3 dc) into the 4th chain of the previously worked chain,
  • 3 chains,
  • 1 slip stitch joining to the starting motif.

Row 2:

  • 1 slip stitch into the next dc of the starting motif,
  • 3 chains,
  • 1 group of double crochets into the chain space of the previous group.

Row 3:

  • 6 turning chains,
  • 1 group of double crochets into the previous row’s group,
  • 1 long chain,
  • 1 single crochet into the middle dc of the first motif,
  • 1 long chain, 1 chain, 1 long chain, repeat across to the last motif,
  • 1 long chain, 1 chain, 1 long chain.

Row 4:

  • 1 single crochet into the middle dc of the last motif of the opposite chain,
  • 1 long chain, 1 slip stitch into the chain between long chains, 1 long chain, 1 single crochet into the middle dc of the next motif, repeat across to the first motif,
  • 1 long chain, group of double crochets into the chain space, repeat until all chains are connected.
  • In the last row, in the group of double crochets, replace the chain with a slip stitch to close at the start of the group.

Gauge:

  • 1 motif: approx. 2.7 cm long × 2.5 cm wide
  • Connecting lace (top): 3 cm wide, between chains: 2 cm
  • Basic pattern: 250 + 32n = 10 × 10 cm

Right Leg

  1. Work 15 chains of 24 motifs each.
  2. Join all motifs into the leg using the connecting lace.
  3. At the top edge of the lace, work the basic pattern in rounds, keeping a 60 cm edge (150 sts), starting between the two chains as shown in the layout.
  4. At 5 cm height of the base pattern: leave 6 sts at the crotch on both sides, continue the row, and at the right edge (front), in every 2nd row decrease: 6 × 2, 5 × 1; in every 4th row: 2 × 1.
  5. At the left edge (back), decrease similarly, but instead of 6 × 2, decrease 9 × 2.
  6. Finish the base pattern at 31 cm height.

Left Leg

  • Work in a mirrored layout.

Finishing

  • Join the crotch seam.
  • Prepare elastic to the required length.
  • Edge the top of the pants with 1 round of single crochet, incorporating the elastic.

Basic Pattern (Hook No. 2)

  • Work in single crochet.
  • Start each row with 1 turning chain counted as the first single crochet.

Chain Motif (Hook No. 2.5)

  • Depending on the number of motifs, chain a multiple of 10 + 10 stitches.
  • Work according to the diagram:
    1. For the first half of the chain, work 5 chains per motif.
    2. For the last motif (11 chains), work the second half of the chain by slip-stitching into the 11th chain, continue with 50 chains, then 10 slip stitches into the next 5 chains of the first half.
    3. Repeat the final slip stitch, 3 replacement chains, 1 single crochet, 9 double crochets, 1 single crochet in the first chain arch.
    4. In the last arch, finish with 1 half double crochet, 19 double crochets, 1 half double crochet.
    5. Repeat on the other side of the motif.
    6. Finish the first motif with 1 half double crochet, 9 double crochets, 1 slip stitch on top of the first replacement chain.

Connecting Lace (Hook No. 2)

  • Begin at the appropriate motif chains according to the layout plan.
  • Follow Diagram A, repeating rows 1–12:

Row 1:

  • 60 chains, 1 group of double crochets (3 dc + 2 ch + 3 dc) into the middle dc of the first motif,
  • Long chain, 10 slip stitches on the middle dc of the next motif, long chain, repeat to last motif, finish with long chain.

Row 2:

  • 1 slip stitch into the middle dc of the last motif of the opposite chain,
  • 1 slip stitch into the middle dc of the next motif, repeat to the first motif,
  • 1 long chain, group of double crochets in chain spaces, repeat until all chains are joined.

Row 3:

  • 1 group of double crochets, 30 chains, 2 × 10 slip stitches each time into the dc of the first motif, reverse 30 chains.

Row 4:

  • Repeat groups of double crochets in chain spaces until all chains are joined.
  • Lace 5a + b: finish after 8 rows.
  • Lace 5c: in row 47, replace the chain with 1 slip stitch on the motif above.

Gauge:

  • 1 motif (Hook 2–2.5): 2.2–2.8 cm long × 12.5 cm wide
  • Connecting lace: 3 cm wide
  • Basic pattern: 10 × 10 cm

Front Pieces (Right and Left)

  • Hook 2: Right front – 11 chains × 11 motifs, Left front – 11 chains × 11 motifs
  • Back pieces: 2 chains × 16 motifs (2a/b), 14 chains × 15 motifs (3a/b)
  • Hook 2.5: For pleats and straps, 2 chains × 41 motifs (4a/b)

Upper Front

  1. Chain 112, 1 turning chain, work basic pattern.
  2. At 6 cm from start, leave 8 stitches unworked on each side to form pleats, in every 2nd row decrease 2 × 6, then continue across all stitches.
  3. At 11 cm from start, decrease 10 stitches on each side every 12th row.
  4. Finish at 25 cm height.

Finishing

  1. Join blouse parts according to the layout plan.
  2. Attach connecting lace along the top edge, aligning motifs 2a, 2b, and 5c.
  3. Sew side edges using remaining chain motifs.
  4. Attach straps (4a/b): leave 17 hanging motifs for ties, next 3 motifs to lace, 9 motifs along the upper edge, remaining motifs left hanging.
  5. Complete strap attachment by sewing the remaining edges and connecting top motifs accordingly.
