DECORATED BAG
You will need: 200 g of solid-coloured yarn (50% linen, 50% cotton), a 2 mm hook, and a ready-made bag.
Square motif: crochet following Chart 1.
Working direction and assembly: follow Chart 2.
Gauge: 1 square motif = 6.5 × 6.5 cm.
Work description:
Begin working from Chart 1 as one continuous piece, without breaking the yarn. Chart 2 shows the direction.
Without finishing the first square, in its last row work only half of it, then move to the next square.
Finish the last square completely, then return to the first one and complete the remaining halves of the others.
In the first square, work only one quarter, then move to the horizontal row of squares.
Only after completing the last row of squares, finish the initial squares of each row.
For the front and back panels, make 6 × 5 squares;
for the side panels, 5 × 2 squares;
for the top, two strips measuring 39 × 7 cm.
Sew the pieces to the bag.
