This is such a cute pattern. I’m struggling to make it work, something just is not right with how I am interpreting the pattern. I wonder if you have made it yourself or if you have the source for the pattern who might have more detail on it’s creation.
Specifically, I interpret the second row on the pattern (after the chain circle) to be all Double Half Crochet stitches. The third row looks like it’s DHC’s with a chain between each stitch. However, looking at the picture of the bag, the third row looks like the third row is a different stitch than the HDC.

I worked from the ISC drawing, and I used the USA symbols. I have made quite a few of these purses and enjoyed making each one.
