Chain 65 ch and work back and forth following Chart 2.
Then crochet 2 rows of edging following Chart 3.
After 25 cm, fasten off.

Sew these two pieces to the band, spacing them 10 cm apart.

Crochet two cords, each 200 chains long (worked with yarn held double).
Lace them up along the side seams using the openings in the stitch pattern.

Skirt

Work Instructions:
The skirt is worked top-down.

Chain 136 sts, join into a circle.

Row 1: single crochet.
Row 2: filet mesh (1 dc, 1 ch) = 68 squares.
Row 3: single crochet.

Then work 4 rows of filet mesh, increasing 6 squares evenly in 3 of those rows according to the shaping chart:
68 + 18 = 96 squares.

Continue by filling 15 squares with dc, leaving 1 square open at the start of each wedge.
Work 3 rows like this.

Continue following Chart 4 until the transition back into full filet mesh is complete.

Work 2 rows of filet mesh, then add the border following Chart 5.

Crochet a cord (yarn doubled) to the required length and thread it through the first row of filet mesh as a drawstring.
